Southern Water

Create 51 developed the communication strategy for Southern Water’s multi-million pound Fat, Oil and Grease (FOG) and Flushables programme.

The strategy reviewed, consolidated and built on existing material and approaches and extended the scope of activities – including customer research to benchmark current awareness levels – to help develop a customer communication and engagement strategy to effectively promote behaviour change.

Tim Bagnall, Waste Services Manager at Southern Water said: “We used Create 51 on our FOG and flushables project because of their knowledge of the water industry and their proven track record in previous work with us. They were able to hit the ground running and produce communication material that was relevant to our customers. Another big plus was that they were able to work smoothly with a number of different internal departments producing designs that satisfied everyone’s needs.”
